Simply Twenty One Records has released a new MARTY WENDELL album, “Risky Business.” The album was produced in Nashville by Chris Scruggs, who tours with Marty Stuart and is the grandson of the legendary, Earl Scruggs. This effort delivers original songs that create a unique Americana/Country soundscape enhanced by special “guest artists” who join Marty on this record. They include Nashville talent like Judy Rodman, Jerry Fox, Lindsey Scruggs and Linda McKenzie as well as Tammie Award winner, Tim Brick and Country/Bluegrass artist, Melody Guarino. Marty’s granddaughter, Emily Quinn and his daughter-in-law, Hillary Wendell and his son, Sean Wendell, complete the guest line-up. In recent years Marty has often been asked “What has happened to country music?” This album seamlessly brings together traditional influences and contemporary relevance making it Marty’s answer to what country music can still be today. “A sense of Nashville royalty pervades this record… and with a booming voice reminiscent of the late, great, Johnny Cash, there’s s lot to be received from this record.” Lucas Garrett – Nippertown The album is available on Apple Music and is also on Spotify. The CD version will be found at Amazon.com
